Meatloaf Recipe

Welcome back! Today I will be sharing a recipe for some delicious meatloaf. It is kinda funny, as a kid I did not like meat loaf AT ALL. I though it was the worst thing in the world and any time someone was trying to convince me to eat it I thought of it as a punishment. Now that I am older, I like it a lot. Hopefully you all will enjoy this recipe I found.

Ingredients You Will Need:

  • 1 lb. of 90% lean ground beef
  • 1 cup of dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup of diced yellow onion
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 tbsp. of ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. of dried parsley leaves
  • 3/4 tsp. of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. of ground black pepper
  • Ingredients used to make the topping:
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. of packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. of red wine vinegar
  • You will also need a loaf pan

How to Make The Meatloaf:

To start, you will need to preheat the oven to 350-degrees Fahrenheit.

Your next step is to add the following ingredients to a large bowl:
you need to add the beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, 2 tablespoons ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, garlic powder, and pepper to the bowl.

Use your hands to sort of mush up and mix the ingredients into the beef. Do this until the ingredients and beef are combined well.

Next you need to add that beef mixture to a loaf pan. Make sure you push the meat down into the pan, creating a flat layer.

Now you will need a small bowl. You will need to add the ketchup, vinegar, and brown sugar to the bowl and mix them together. After mixing these ingredients you can dump the sauce over the top of the meatloaf.

Place your meatloaf in the 350-degree oven and let it bake for 55 minutes. uncovered. Then remove the meatloaf and let it sit for eight to ten minutes. If you do not let it sit, it may be more likely to fall apart.
