Lasagna 


Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing a recipe on how to make some yummy lasagna!


Ingredients You Will Need:
  • 1 lb. of dry lasagna noodles (this will be about half a box)
  • 1 lb. of lean ground beef
  • 1 24 oz. jar of sauce (whatever kind you prefer)
  • 2/3 cup of water
  • one 15 oz. container of ricotta or cottage cheese (whichever will work)
  • 12 oz. of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp. of Italian seasoning

How to Make the Lasagna:

First you should preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

Next you will need a baking dish and you should spread 2/3 of a cup of your choice of sauce on the bottom of the dish

Top the sauce you added with noodles.

Now it is time to brown your ground beef. Place the beef in a large skillet and let it cook until it is completely brown. When you are finished with that you should drain the fat.

Now add the remainder of your sauce to the meat. Take the 2/3 cup of water and pour it into the jar and shake it to clean out the remainder of the sauce left in the jar. Pour the water and sauce mixture into the meat pan. Stir the sauce in.

Let the meat sauce simmer for about five minutes.

Spread around one third of your ricotta or cottage cheese on top of the lasagna noodles. then, sprinkle on three oz. of mozzarella cheese. Add one-third of the meat and sauce mixture on top of all of that.

Now add another layer of noodles and press them down.

Repeat the above few steps with ricotta or cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese and meat sauce two more times.

Top the lasagna with the remainder of the mozzarella cheese and sprinkle it with the Italian seasoning on top.

Next, cover the lasagna tightly with aluminum foil. Let the lasagna bake for 45 minutes until the noodles are tender to the touch with a fork. 

Remove the aluminum foil and allow the lasagna bake for another 7-8 minutes.

Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.

You are now ready to serve your delicious lasagna!
