    Hello everyone! My name is Katlyn. I am a college student making a blog for a homework assignment in my Computer Science class. The topic I will be posting about with each blog post will be a new recipe. I have chosen to write about different recipes because I am interested in learning how to make new types of food from scratch. Each post will be a different recipe from the last. My goal with this blog is to help myself and others to find new delicious recipes to make foods that maybe we have never thought about making before or to make it easier for someone to find a recipe they have been looking to make.

    I have several recipes picked out to post about over the next few days. The first one I am going to talk about how to make homemade biscuits and the second one will be about homemade sausage gravy. I love to have warm biscuits and gravy for breakfast and would love to learn how to make them myself. Another recipe I know I will be posting about shortly is a yummy chili. Chili is also one of my favorites to have in the winter with a nice piece of butter bread. I am excited to share these recipes with everyone! I hope you stick around to see what I have to share!

Homemade Sausage Gravy     Welcome back! In this post, you will find out how make homemade sausage gravy. In my last post, I outlined a recipe for homemade biscuits that would pair well with this recipe. What You Will Need: 1 pound of ground pork sausage 2 tablespoons of butter 1/3 cup of flour 3 cups of milk 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon of seasoned salt 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of pepper How to Make it: First you will need to brown the sausage. Lasagna   Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing a recipe on how to make some yummy lasagna! Ingredients You Will Need: 1 lb. of dry lasagna noodles (this will be about half a box) 1 lb. of lean ground beef 1 24 oz. jar of sauce (whatever kind you prefer) 2/3 cup of water one 15 oz. container of ricotta or cottage cheese (whichever will work) 12 oz. of mozzarella cheese 1 tsp. of Italian seasoning How to Make the Lasagna: First you should preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit Next you will need a baking dish and you should spread 2/3 of a cup of your choice of sauce on the bottom of the dish Top the sauce you added with noodles. Now it is time to brown your ground beef. Place the beef in a large skillet and let it cook until it is completely brown. When you are finished with that you should drain the fat.
